U-Pass
for Students
The Simon Fraser University
U-Pass program has been in operation since September
2003, and the program has proven to be very popular
with students. In comparison to Fall term 2002, transit
ridership to and from Burnaby Mountain has increased
more than 40%! The Simon Fraser Student Society, Simon
Fraser University and TransLink would like to thank
you for helping to make the U-Pass program successful.
The U-Pass program was approved by student referendum
in November 2002 and provides all eligible Simon Fraser University
students with unlimited, all zone access to public
transit in the GVRD at approximately one-third the
cost of a regular transit pass. Once you have your
U-Pass in hand, you will not have to pay any additional
fares to ride TransLink buses (including community
shuttles and West Vancouver Blue Buses) Skytrain or
Seabus.
