Computing IDs are your access to SFU registration system, email, campus labs, FTP storage, WebCT, Library Systems, modem pool and web publishing.
Students: If you have not yet activated their SFU computing ID please go to my.sfu.ca and click on "Apply for ID." If you have any issues activating your account please come and See Student Services in person with identification. (Mezzanine level @ the Surrey Campus)
Faculty and Staff: Your account is automatically generated when you sign and return your employment offer. Please pick up your account from CaRS (Area 3505 Podium level 3 @ the Surrey Campus)
Sponsored accounts: It is possible
to obtain a computing ID for functional purposes, such as for general
departmental e-mail correspondence. There is a cost of $25 dollars per year. The ID must be sponsored
by a continuing faculty or staff member who should be aware of and agree to the terms of use. If the person using
the ID leaves, the sponsor should reclaim the ID by changing its password. The sponsor has the right to revoke his/her sponsorship
at any time. You may suggest an appropriate name for the
ID on the application form, in the section labeled Special Instructions.
Please download the form here and fax to 24242 or email to itsinfo@sfu.ca.
