Client Support and Research Services (CaRS) and Network Services (NS) provide and maintain the computing and multimedia infrastructure for the Surrey Campus.
In support of the Academic Programs, CaRS manages the distributed computing facilities on campus including instructional classrooms, computer labs, studio labs, drop in labs, tutorial and seminar spaces and multimedia production facilities.
In support of the research community, staff and faculty, CaRS provides multi-platform microcomputer and workstation hardware and software support. Network Services provides the network (wired and wireless) and core services for the campus such as firewall, IP addresses, computer names, distributed file store, network time, and FTP.
In conjunction with the CaRS Burnaby web pages, this website is designed to provide information on services available to you. You will also find FAQ's and How To's to help you troubleshoot any problems you may be having with your computing account, electronic mail services, web services, learning techologies and any other services provided by CaRS.
Our website is new and always under construction (much like the Surrey Campus) so if there is something specific you came here to find and you did not find it, please let us know by emailing help-surrey@sfu.ca.
