Parking at SFU Surrey
SFU does not own or manage the parking lots located at the Central City mall, home of the Surrey campus.
Mall parking is for retail shoppers only. There is no free parking for SFU Surrey. The three hour time limit for parking is for shoppers only. SFU students and visitors do not qualify in this category of parking.
SFU Surrey has been provided a limited number of Surrey campus parking decals for students. In order to obtain a decal a student must enter a parking lottery each semester. See “Student Parking Decal and Lottery” below for more details.
Visitor Parking
Visitor parking is available on level P5 of the parkade for guests coming to SFU Surrey for lectures and special events. Weekdays parking costs $1 per hour, or $5 for the entire day from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. After 6pm, Monday - Sunday, visitors pay a flat rate of $4.00. Visitors are required to enter the stall number into the meter that is inside the stair/elevator vestibule on level P5. The meter accepts coins or credit cards. Voucher tickets are dispensed to be displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle.
Vehicles with no paid voucher ticket or authorized parking decal may be ticketed.

Student Parking Decal and Lottery
SFU does not own or manage the parking lots located at the Central City mall, home of the Surrey campus.
SFU Surrey has been provided a limited number of Surrey campus parking decals for students. In order to obtain a decal a student must enter a parking lottery each semester. Enter online at http://www.surrey.sfu.ca/parkinglottery.
Parking decals are assigned by random lottery. Please note, that due to the limited parking available, lottery applications are accepted only for students enrolled in courses at Surrey campus. Your student number and SFU email ID are required fields on the application form.
The deadline for the parking lottery for May to August 2012 will be Tuesday, May 8th, 2012 at 4:00 p.m.
Applicants who enter the lottery before deadline will be notified by email on Thursday, May 10th, 2012 with confirmation of whether a parking decal is available or not.
Decals cost $50.00 per semester and will be sold at the Registrar and Information counter at the SFU Surrey campus.
Authorized decals are available only by direct sale at SFU. Decals are not transferrable. Any vehicles displaying decals received by trade or private sale will not be registered for parking and those vehicles will be ticketed or towed. SFU accepts no responsibility for unauthorized decals, ticket violations or towing charges.
Evening/Weekend Parking Decal
For students taking classes in Continuing Studies, Lifelong Learning or part-time diploma and degree programs which are scheduled after 5:00 p.m. weekdays or any time on weekends, a part-time parking decal is available by lottery each semester.

Cost of the decal is $50.00 per semester and will be sold at the Registrar and Information counter at the SFU Surrey campus.
Where to Park if You Win a Decal in the Parking Lottery at SFU Surrey
For decal holders, parking is available on levels P3, P4 and the Rooftop parking. If you park anywhere else on the mall property while attending the SFU Surrey campus, you are subject to receiving a ticket or having your vehicle towed even if you have a decal displayed. The decals allow parking only in P3, P4 and Rooftop parking. You will be responsible for any violations received.

Commuting Options
For students that are unsuccessful in the lottery there are several Translink Park n Ride locations available. Staff Parking
Parking decals are available to full-time faculty and staff through the Facilities office, extension 27496. The decals are valid for one calendar year. The expiry date is printed on the face of the decal. The Facilities Department will notify faculty and staff how and where to collect a decal for the next calendar year. Temporary day passes for faculty and staff who work at the campus on a part time basis can be obtained from their Surrey-based department/school/faculty. Visitors can obtain a parking pass from their host department. These passes are valid for the date printed on the pass.
Feedback
