Science Year One
* New Surrey Chemistry & Biology laboratories opened May 2011 *

Science Year One is a cohort program offered by the Faculty of Science at SFU Surrey which provides a solid foundation for students interested in completing a science major at SFU. It also provides a viable avenue for students to complete the prerequisites for various professional programs such as medicine, optometry, dentistry, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, naturopathic medicine and chiropractic.
Science Year One allows students interested in science to spend their first year studying at the Surrey campus. Students in the cohort are required to take one calculus course plus two other core science courses in each of the Fall and Spring semesters of their first year. Please view our course lists for information on the courses to take in Science Year One.
