Facebook SFU Surrey Student Life

Surrey Student Life aims to provide SFU Surrey students with opportunities and support for their personal and academic development, their connection to others and to the university, and their involvement in shaping their campus community, through the following:

New Student Orientation Student Ambassador Program
Campus Events + Activities    Food Bank Hampers
Resources + Referrals Student Unions + Clubs

New Student Orientation

New students registered in SFU Surrey programs and starting in the Fall term are welcomed to the university through New Student Orientation. The Orientation includes a large-scale program followed by four-month mentorship support from senior student volunteers.

New or transfer students starting in Spring or Summer term may book a meeting with the Student Life Coordinator or drop by the Information booths set up during the first week of school.

See more information on orientation sessions.

Why do our current students choose SFU Surrey? It's the little things that matter the most!

Student Ambassador Program

The Student Ambassador Program is a program unique to SFU Surrey. It is an umbrella for all of the different kinds of volunteer activities that students get involved with to build our campus community. It aims to rcognize students for their participation, initiative and leadership.

Through volunteering on campus, students can make connections with other students as well as faculty, get experience and skills, balance out their academic life, and also earn cool SFU Surrey swag.

For more information about the program or to sign up to get involved, visit www.surrey.sfu.ca/sa

Where does your journey begin at SFU Surrey? We recommend that you start by getting involved!

Campus Events + Activities

Campus activities bring students and sometimes staff and faculty together to help to build the Surrey campus community, offer opportunities for social connection, and add some fun to student life! Student Life events range from movie nights to club events to workshops. Please visit our display window outside our office (Room 3002) for a complete list of monthly and weekly events, including the featured movie or board game of the week.

View the weekly SFU Surrey Online e-news for the latest information about campus events, activities and news.

Food Bank Hampers
