Entrance Scholarships

• All secondary high school students with a 95% or better average will be considered for a $5,000 Academic Excellence entrance scholarship (no application necessary)
• All secondary high school students with a 91% or better average will be considered for a $3,500 Summit Scholarship or Kenneth Strand National entrance scholarship (no application necessary)
• IB diploma students with 34 or more points will automatically receive a $7,000 IB Academic Excellence entrance scholarship
• IB diploma students with 30 - 33 points will automatically receive a $5,000 IB Summit entrance scholarship

• Major entrance scholarships ($7,000 - $35,000) require an application (see Entrance Scholarships).

SFU Surrey Entrance Awards

Simon Fraser University is very pleased to announce the availability of a series of $2,000 SFU Surrey Entrance Awards to high school students in British Columbia.

These awards are available to students who plan to begin their studies at our Surrey campus in any of our first-year programs including Systems One (Applied Sciences), Explorations, Crim One, Global Issues FLC, Social & Behavioural Sciences FLC (Arts and Social Sciences), BusOne (Business Administration), TechOne (Communication, Art and Technology) or Science Year One. Students who apply for direct admission to Software Systems (Computing Science), Mechatronic Systems Engineering (Engineering Science), Criminology, World Literature, Business Administration, Interactive Arts and Technology, Education (BGS), Mathematics, or Management and Systems Science at the Surrey campus are also eligible to apply for the awards. Students who expect to achieve a minimum academic average of 80 percent are encouraged to apply.

Careful consideration will be given to applicants who demonstrate a commitment to their school and wider community, who exhibit leadership, and who show an academic interest in arts and social sciences, business administration, computing science, engineering science, education, health sciences, interactive arts and technology, mathematics, or science.
