Guide for New Surrey Students
On behalf of Registrar and Information Services, we’d like to welcome you to the new and vibrant SFU Surrey campus. We have highlighted some very important items for you below that will help you orient yourself to the campus. A Welcome Information Desk will be set up on the Mezzanine Level during the first week of classes in the Fall (September) and Spring (January) terms, to help those of you that are new to the campus get oriented. In the Summer (May) term, please stop by our front counter and someone will be able to assist you.
Thank you and we hope your term is successful!

The SFU Surrey library has a limited amount of textbooks for you to borrow. Visit http://www.lib.sfu.ca/surrey
Textbook Purchases
The SFU Surrey Bookstore located on the Mezzanine level of the Surrey campus, sells course books for courses taught at Surrey campus only. Vancouver and Burnaby bookstore locations do not sell course books for courses taught at Surrey. Another option is to order your books online through E-Service (free shipping within Canada).
Please note: refunds for books purchased at the Surrey bookstore are done only at that location.
Student Lockers
Student lockers at SFU Surrey are the responsibility of the Recreation and Athletics office (Galleria Level 3 - Room 3005). Lockers are rented for the term and certain costs and deposits will be associated with it. Locker rentals are currently $20.00 (cash only) per term and will be distributed at the beginning of the term.
Locks are distributed and managed by the Recreation and Athletics office at SFU Surrey. You will not need to purchase a lock. Any lockers found with personal locks will have them removed at the student's expense.
If you have a locker at SFU Burnaby, you will have to rent a separate locker at SFU Surrey. Fees for one locker do not transfer between campuses. Use of the lockers is at your own risk; SFU can not assume responsibility for the loss of or damage to personal possessions, please leave your valuables at home.
For more information please see: http://students.sfu.ca/recreation/surrey-recreation.html. If you have any questions about locker rentals, please contact the Recreation and Athletics office at SFU Surrey - 778.782.5434.
