SMACKDOWN Faculty Debate webcast to SFU Surrey Room 3270 featuring:
Students have nominated numerous faculty to participate in a new community event for the SFU United Way campaign. The nominations were based on the criteria that the faculty member should be (1) known for his/her sense of humour, (2) have the ability to talk about anything, and (3) possess an appreciation for volunteerism or the act of giving.
The event is intended to be entertaining for all – the faculty panelists and the audience – by moderating two debates covering topics of no real importance in a low-budget version of the Oxford Union-style debates.
