Business Administration (Entrepreneurship)
There have been so many memorable experiences from my time being an SFU Surrey student. The casual openness of the campus led to a chance encounter in a team room with the new Co-President of a student club. She convinced me to get involved and what an opportunity it has proven to be. Without even knowing what ACE stood for less than a year later I am Co-President, and I know now it stands for Advancing Canadian Entrepreneurship! What a change, from being an epitome of a commuter student to a heavily involved club member has opened my eyes to the potential within our student community. It has helped me realize that we can make a difference; we can make positive changes to this world – and no better time than now to start! So as a small piece of advice, I would suggest you look into all the opportunities available to you as a student and really experience the full education that SFU Surrey is offering.
The motto of SFU is “Thinking of the World” and through my involvement with ACE*SFU and with the help and support of our engaging Faculty and Administration I’ve truly been able to think of the world. I recently took part in an international student conference in New York City. This was a great opportunity to collaborate with representatives from over 50 countries and it is helping to ensure the “Thinking of the World” will also be engrained in my life but also the club which I’m happy to be involved with.
